Nat. Brut is an American literary magazine founded in 2012 by Anna Ploegh and Andrew Ridker. The magazine contains artwork, prose, and poetry by a set of diverse artists and is publicized both online and in print. The most recent issue iIssue 14 which features a folio by incarcerated writers in New Jersey entitled "Inside Voices," as well as poetry, fiction, essay, and visual art. Fractured Atlas is a non-profit technology company that provides business tools for artists. History Fractured Atlas was founded in 1998 by Executive Director Adam Huttler as a theater production company. Jayson Scott Musson is an artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He was born in Bronx, NY. Early life In an interview in Nat. Brut magazine, Musson said that he grew up in Spring Valley, New York, about 25 minutes from New York City. Amy Hempel (born December 14, 1951) is an American short story writer and journalist. She teaches creative writing at the Michener Center for Writers. Life Hempel was born in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to California at age 16, which is where much of her early fiction takes place. She moved to New York City in the mid-seventies. There, she connected with writer and editor Gordon Lish, with whom she maintained a long professional relationship. She formerly was professor of creative writing at the University of Florida. Art Brut are a Berlin-based English and German indie rock band.
