Nasseman
Rabbie Nassrallah (born 1979), who is better known as Nasseman, is a Liberian reggae singer, songwriter, and activist. He gained recognition after releasing the 2015 single "Till We Meet Again", which was written to honor his mentor Ras Katata. His music primarily addresses social ills prevalent in Liberian society. Nasseman has written songs for several Liberian artists, and has released the albums ''Till We Meet'' (2008) and ''Redemption Time'' (2012). Life and career Nasseman was born in 1979, to a Lebanese father and a Liberian mother. Raised in Monrovia, he lived through Liberia's first and second civil war and witnessed the killing and destruction caused by rival warlords. Nasseman started performing when he was 11 years old. Jonathan Koffa (born May 14, 1981), known professionally as Takun J (often stylized as Takun-J), is a Liberian rapper, songwriter and activist. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of hipco, a politically-charged music genre. The Liberian Gender Ministry designated him as one of its anti-rape ambassadors. Takun J's music addresses socio-political issues in Liberia. He is best known for his singles "Who Make You Cry", "Police Man", "Gbagba is Corruption", and "Song for Hawa". Dubioza kolektiv (also known simply as Dubioza) is a Bosnian avant-garde dub rock group known for their crossover style that incorporates elements of hip hop, dub, ska, reggae, rock, punk, electronic music, and Balkan music, and for their socially and politically conscious songwriting with lyrics in multiple languages. In 2015, Dubioza kolektiv was referred to as the most popular Bosnian musical act. Alicia Dal Monte Campuzano (born 28 June 1977), better known by her stage name as Alika, is an Uruguayan–Argentine rapper, singer, songwriter, and reggae musician. She is better known for heading the reggae act Alika & Nueva Alianza. ChocQuibTown (sometimes written as Choc Quib Town) is a Colombian hip-hop group that fuses various musical genres. Although the band formed in Cali, the members are originally from the Colombian department of Chocó. Rodney Sieh is a Liberian newspaper editor. In 2005, he founded ''FrontPage Africa''. Originally an online-only publication, the newspaper began to print daily copies in 2008, expanding to a circulation of 1,500, which were collated and folded manually.
