A brickworks, also known as a brick factory, is a factory for the manufacturing of bricks, from clay or shale. Usually a brickworks is located on a clay bedrock (the most common material from which bricks are made), often with a quarry for clay on site. Decauville () was a manufacturing company which was founded by Paul Decauville (1846–1922), a French pioneer in industrial railways. Decauville's major innovation was the use of ready-made sections of light, narrow gauge track fastened to steel sleepers; this track was portable and could be disassembled and transported very easily. Stoomtrein Katwijk Leiden (formerly Stoomtrein Valkenburgse Meer, abbreviated SVM), is a narrow gauge heritage railway line around the Valkenburgse Meer in the south of Katwijk, Netherlands. Barger-Compascuum is a village in the Dutch municipality of Emmen. It is in a peat-producing region of Drenthe. , an open-air museum, is dedicated to the peat history of the region.
