Narooma, New South Wales
Narooma is a town in the Australian state of New South Wales on the far south coast. The town is on the Princes Highway, which crosses the Wagonga Inlet to North Narooma. The heritage town of Central Tilba is nearby to the south. The name Narooma is said to be derived from a word in the local Aboriginal language (one of the Yuin dialects) meaning "clear blue waters". At the , Narooma had an urban population of over 3,000 people. History Before European settlement of the area, the Yuin people inhabited the lands along the stretch of coast, with the Walbunga/Walbunja clan being the traditional owners of the Narooma area. Cronulla Sharks
The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Cronulla, in the Sutherland Shire, Southern Sydney, New South Wales. They compete in the National Rugby League (NRL), Australasia's premier rugby league competition. The Sharks, as they are commonly known, were admitted to the New South Wales Rugby League premiership, predecessor of the Australian Rugby League and the current National Rugby League competition, in January 1967. Newspaper history ''The Cobargo Chronicle'' was a weekly newspaper first published on 18 November 1898 by William Boot in Cobargo, New South Wales. The newspaper was originally titled ''The Cobargo Chronicle and South Coast Journal'' and was devoted to "the interests of the Dairying, Mining and Agricultural industries established in the large and populous district in which it circulates". Subscriptions were priced at one pound per annum and the paper was printed Friday mornings from the offices situated on Moruya Road, Cobargo. It was published weekly (on Wednesdays) during the Australian rugby league season, which runs from March to late September (roughly corresponding to the southern hemisphere autumn and winter). Teig Wilton (born 25 September 1999) is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a forward for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League (NRL). Background Wilton played his junior rugby league for the Narooma Devils in the Group 16 Rugby League. He is the nephew of former Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks coach John Morris. Newcastle Knights
The Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. They compete in Australasia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership. Playing in red and blue, the Knights joined the top tier competition in 1988, 79 years after the previous Newcastle based team, the Newcastle Rebels had departed the Sydney competition with the formation of a separate league competition based in the Newcastle region.
