Narodnoye Opolcheniye (Moscow Metro)
Narodnoye Opolcheniye (russian: Народное Ополчение) is a station on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro. It opened on 1 April 2021. Name During the construction of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line, the station was named ''Ulitsa Narodnogo Opolcheniya'' (" People's Militia Street") after the nearby street of the same name. From March to May 2020, the station was named Mnyovniki in the design documentation (while the current Mnyovniki was planned to be renamed Terekhovo). In November 2020, it was proposed to name the station "Karamyshevskaya", and on December 8, Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree assigning this name to the station. This was done for the convenience of navigation, since the Oktyabrskoe Pole station of Line 7 already exists on Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street. Moscow Metro Station
There are 250 active stations of the Moscow Metro. Of these, 209 on Moscow Metro proper, and some additional ones that are marketed by Moscow Metro: 6 stations of Moscow Monorail and 31 stations of the Moscow Central Circle. Two stations have been closed. As of 2017 several new stations are under construction or being planned. One station is reserved for future service ( Delovoy Tsentr for the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line). Narodnoe Opolchenie
The People's Militia ( rus, Народное ополчение, p=nɐˈrodnəjə ɐpɐlˈtɕenʲɪjə, r=Narodnoe opolcheniye, t=popular regimentation) was the name given to irregular troops formed from the population in the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union, a mass levy. They fought behind front lines and alongside the regular army during several wars throughout its history. The People's Militia is of the type known as "national troops" such as the Dnieper Cossacks, or German Landwehr, and although often translated as the "people's militia", "home guard", "people-in-arms", or "national popular army", its members never belonged to an organised military force, but were in all cases selectively accepted from a body of volunteers during a national emergency. Oktyabrskoye Pole (russian: Октябрьское Поле) is a station on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. The station was opened on 30 December 1972 as part of the Krasnopresnenskiy radius, and for exactly three years it was the original terminus of the Krasnopresnenskaya Line. Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line
The Bolshaya Koltsevaya line (russian: Большая кольцевая линия), known in English as the Big Circle Line, designated Line 11 and 11A is an under construction rapid transit line of the Moscow Metro. When complete, it will become the third circle line on the system, running outside of the existing circle Koltsevaya line and interlocking with Moscow Central Circle, with a temporary branch to Delovoy Tsentr station in Moscow International Business Center. The first section of the line opened on 26 February 2018 with expected completion of the final stage in 2022.
