Marie Narelle
Marie Narelle (28 January 1870 – 26 January 1941), born Catherine Mary Ryan, was an Australian singer, billed as "the Australian Queen of Irish Song". Early life Catherine Mary Ryan, called "Molly", was born at Combaning station, near Temora, New South Wales, the daughter of John Joseph Ryan and Catherine Mary Comans Ryan. Her father was a goldminer and a rancher. She attended a convent school in Wagga Wagga, with further vocal training later in life, in Sydney. Career Left to support three young children as a single parent, Molly Callaghan started teaching music to remote students in Candelo, riding her horse between lessons. She soon had a music studio in Sydney, and began performing under the stage name "Marie Narelle", and billed as "the Australian Queen of Irish Song." Narelle Autio
Narelle Autio (born 1969) is an Australian photographer. Autio is a member of the In-Public street photography collective and is a founding member of the Oculi photographic agency. She is married to the photographer Trent Parke, with whom she often collaborates. Autio began exhibiting in 2000, collaborating with her husband Parke on ''The Seventh Wave''. This was followed in 2002 by the series ''Not of this Earth''. Her solo show in 2004, ''Watercolours'', continued her exploration of Australians at leisure. She followed this in 2010 with the show ''The Summer of Us,'' a document of what is left behind on the beach, naturally and by humankind. Narelle Jubelin (born 1960) is an Australian artist who has lived and practiced in Madrid since 1996. Jubelin's often collaborative work spans across media such as sculpture, printmaking, multi-media installation and is especially focused on single thread petit point stitching. Narelle Kellner ( Jorgensen, 18 October 1934 – 20 December 1987) was an Australian chess player who held the title of Woman International Master (WIM, 1977). She was a two-time winner of the Australian Women's Chess Championship (1972, 1974). Biography Narelle Kellner won the Women's Chess Championships of New South Wales 21 times. Narelle Kheng (born 24 September 1993) is a Singaporean singer, actress, and former national swimmer. She made her debut in the Singaporean band The Sam Willows in 2012. Personal life Kheng was a national youth swimmer, having trained at the Singapore Sports School since the age of six. Narelle Oliver (1960 - 2016) was an Australian artist, print maker and award-winning children's author-illustrator. Early life Narelle Oliver was born on 25 February 1960 and grew up in Toowoomba in south east Queensland. Career Oliver majored in design and printmaking while studying for a Bachelor of Education degree. She began her career teaching at the Queensland School for the Deaf. Oliver was an educator and a committed environmentalist. As an illustrator, Oliver combined linocut, watercolour, pastels, collage and digitally-enhanced photographs in her work. Cyclone Narelle
Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle was a powerful Category 4 tropical cyclone in early January 2013 that brought light rains to areas in South Australia suffering from a drought and heat wave. On 4 January, a tropical low pressure developed within a monsoon trough over the Timor Sea. Over the following several days, the system gradually tracked westward and intensified, being classified Tropical Cyclone Narelle on 8 January. Turning southward into a region of low wind shear, Narelle intensified into a severe tropical cyclone on 9 January. Over the following two days, the cyclone's structure fluctuated, temporarily featuring an eye, before it maintained its organisation and intensified further on 11 January. The storm attained its peak intensity later on 11 January as a Category 4 cyclone with winds of 195 km/h (120 mph).
