Narellan is a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. Narellan is located 60 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Camden Council and is part of the Macarthur region. Narellan is known for its modern shopping centre, Narellan Town Centre, historic St Thomas Chapel, Studley Park House and golf course. History The area now known as Narellan was probably originally home to the Tharawal people, based in the Illawarra region, although the Western Sydney-based Darug people and the Southern Highlands-based Gandangara people were also known to have inhabited the greater Camden area. Very early relations with British settlers were cordial but as farmers started clearing and fencing the land affecting food resources in the area, clashes between the groups arose until 1816 when a number of indigenous people were massacred and the remainder retreated from direct conflict with the settlers. The Macarthur Division Rugby League is a senior Rugby league competition in New South Wales, Australia, administered by the New South Wales Rugby League. Formerly known as Group 6, the competition was, until 2019, run under the auspices of the Country Rugby League. The geographical area covered by the former CRL Group 6 takes in much of the Southern Highlands and southern Macarthur regions of New South Wales, extending from Marulan, New South Wales in the south, to Mount Annan/ the M5 in the north and Warragamba in the west. Benjamin Tapuloa Roberts (born 8 July 1985) is a former professional rugby league footballer who last played as a or for the Castleford Tigers ( Heritage № 955) in the Super League. He is a former New Zealand and Samoan international. Background Roberts was born in Westmead, New South Wales, Australia. Shannon Gallant (born 26 February 1986) is an Australian rugby league footballer. He has played in the National Rugby League (NRL) for the North Queensland Cowboys and the Wests Tigers. He primarily plays as a and is known for his speed and small stature. Early life Gallant played junior Rugby league with the Narellan Jets and Campbelltown City Kangaroos, and joined the Western Suburbs Magpies when he was 13 years old. Rocky Trimarchi is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the Ron Massey Cup.
