Narela, Delhi
Narela and sub-city is a tehsil, located in the North Delhi district of Delhi, and forms the border of Delhi with Haryana. Situated just off the Grand Trunk Road, its location made it an important market town for the surrounding areas, during the 19th century, which it still retains. It was developed as the third mega sub-city project of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the urban extension project of Delhi, after Rohini sub-city and Dwarka sub-city. It covers an area of 9866 hectares. The 'Narela Industrial Area' started developing in the early 1980s and is today one of the important such complexes in Delhi. It is one of 12 zones of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and one of the three subdistricts of the North Delhi district, along with Alipur and Model Town. Jahangir
Nur-ud-Din Muhammad Salim (30 August 1569 – 28 October 1627), known by his imperial name Jahangir (; ), was the fourth Mughal Emperor, who ruled from 1605 until he died in 1627. He was named after the Indian Sufi saint, Salim Chishti. Early life Prince Salim was the third son born to Akbar and his favourite Queen Consort, Mariam-uz-Zamani in Fatehpur Sikri on 30 August 1569. He had two elder brothers, Hassan Mirza and Hussain Mirza, born as twins to his parents in 1564, both of whom died in infancy. Jahangirnama
Jahangirnameh ( fa, جهانگیرنامه "Story of Jahangir") is an epic poem in the Persian language which relates the story of Jahangir son of Rostam. It is composed in the same meter as the Shahnameh. The author mentions his name as Qāsem-e Mādeḥ in one of the last couplets of the poem. Composed in Herat, it contains nearly 3,600 couplets. It was published in Bombay (Mumbai) in 1309/1886. It should not be confused with another work often called the "Jahangirnameh" but also the ''Tuzk-e-Jahangiri''. This is the autobiography or memoirs of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir (1569-1627) in Persian prose. Unlike other poems in Persian, Jahangirnameh contains relatively high number of Arabic loanwords, and the stories also were under Islamic influence. Model Town is an upscale neighbourhood situated in North Delhi, India. It was built in the early 1950s by the DLF Group, then known as Delhi Land and Finance, and is one of the first privately developed neighborhoods in Delhi.
