Nantporth
Nantporth is a football stadium in Bangor, Wales. Bangor City F.C. played between January 2012 and 2022, having moved from their previous ground, Farrar Road, that opened in the 1920s. History Previously the ground was used occasionally by Bangor University football and rugby clubs, as well as practical lectures by the university's 'Normal Site' campus, which is home to the Sports Science and Education faculties. The main pitch overlooks the Menai Strait, with views in both directions along the coast. Building work started on the new stadium in August 2011, and was completed in January 2012. The stadium was built by developer Watkin Jones as part of a joint project with Morbaine Ltd. Both companies formed a further company "Deiniol Developments" for the purpose of the Nantporth construction and the development of the football club's former home at Farrar Road into an Asda supermarket. The 2013–14 Welsh Premier League (known as the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League for sponsorship reasons) was the 22nd season of the Welsh Premier League, the highest football league within Wales since its establishment in 1992. Maesdu Park (known aOPS WindArena for sponsorship reasons) is a multi-sport stadium in Llandudno, Wales. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, and is the home ground oJD Cymru North Leagueteam Llandudno F.C. The 2015–16 Welsh League Cup, 2016 Welsh League Cup final was held at the ground. History Maesdu Park was first opened in 1991, with the club moving from the town's Oval ground which had hosted football after Llandudno's previous ground was sold for use as an Asda store in the 1970s. Floodlights were added in 1994 and the following season the club constructed a small clubhouse and two small stands providing 130 seats. Farrar Road Stadium
Farrar Road Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Bangor, Wales. The site of the ground is now covered by an Asda supermarket. From 1920, the year it was opened, until 2011 it was used mostly for football matches and was the home of Bangor City F.C. The stadium held 1,500 people, with 700 seats. The stadium was due to be demolished and redeveloped into a leisure complex after the 2008–9 season. Due to several delays however the last game that Bangor played there was a 5–3 win for the home side versus Prestatyn Town on 27 December 2011.
