NanoLab Nijmegen
NanoLab Nijmegen is a laboratory of Radboud University Nijmegen in Netherlands, Nederlands. Its goal is to contribute to knowledge transfer between academia and industry to make new developments in nanoscience and technology accessible for enterprises. It is done mainly via research jobs and collaborative research projects with industry, workshops, and training. Many projects employ Scanning probe microscopy, Scanning Probe Microscopy methods as the primary experimental approach. The initiative is broadly based in the Institute for Molecules and Materials, next to the Scanning Tunneling Microscopy group. The groups ''Spectroscopy of Solids and Interfaces'', ''Solid State Chemistry'', ''Condensed Matter Science'', ''Supramolecular Chemistry'', and ''Molecular Materials'' are participating. Radboud University Nijmegen
Radboud University (abbreviated as RU, nl, Radboud Universiteit , formerly ''Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen'') is a public research university located in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The university bears the name of Saint Radboud, a 9th century Dutch bishop who was known for his intellect and support of the underprivileged. Established in 1923, Radboud University has consistently been included in the top 150 of universities in the world by four major university ranking tables. As of 2020, it ranks 105th in the Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities. Internationally, RU is known for its strong research output. Clemens Cornielje
Clemens Gerard Antoon Cornielje (10 June 1958 – 17 March 2022) was a Dutch politician and political consultant and educator. Biography Born in Lobith, he was member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie). From 1994 to 2005 he was a member of the Dutch House of Representatives. From 31 August 2005 to 23 January 2019 he has been King's Commissioner (Queen's Commissioner until 2013) of the province of Gelderland. Cornielje studied biology and mathematics at a vocational university in Nijmegen to become a teacher in secondary education. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, and was openly gay. At the beginning of 2010, Cornielje was diagnosed with a malignant tumor, requiring him to resign. But he returned to work after several months. He was diagnosed with cancer again in May 2015.
