Gutha Ramineedu
G. Ramineedu (Telugu: గుత్తా రామినీడు) (5 October 1927 – 29 April 2009) was an Indian film director who worked in Telugu cinema. He is known for films such as '' Maa Inti Mahalakshmi'' (1959), ''Chivaraku Migiledi'' (1960), '' Palnati Yuddham'' (1966), '' Bangaru Sankellu'' (1968). ''Maa Inti Mahalakshmi'' and ''Palnati Yuddham'' received the Certificate of Merit for Best Feature Film in Telugu at the National Film Awards. ''Maa Inti Mahalakshmi'' also won the Filmfare Award for Best Film – Telugu. His last film '' Yagnam'' (1991) won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film. ''Yagnam'' (English: The Offering) is a 1991 Indian Telugu-language social problem film directed by Gutha Ramineedu based on a 1964 play by Kalipatnam Ramarao. The film has garnered the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor, and the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film. The film won two Nandi Awards. Plot The film deals with the life of a poor farmer (P. L. Narayana) and his dysfunctional family. The farmer sacrifices his own son (Bhanu Chander) as an offering to overcome his debt. Sattiraju Lakshminarayana (15 December 1933 – 31 August 2014), known professionally as Bapu, was an Indian film director, painter, illustrator, cartoonist, screenwriter, music artist, and designer known for his works in Telugu and Hindi cinema. In 2013, he was awarded the Padma Shri, for his contribution to Indian art and cinema. ''Pelli Pustakam'' () is a 1991 Telugu-language romantic comedy film, produced by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana under the Sri Seetarama Films banner and directed by Bapu.
