Nandi Award
The Nandi Awards are the awards that recognise the excellence in Telugu cinema, Telugu theatre and Telugu television, and Lifetime achievements in Indian cinema. Presented annually by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the award is named after the big granite bull at Lepakshi — a cultural and historical symbol of the Telugu people. Nandi Awards are presented in four categories: Gold (Swarnam), Silver (Rajatam), Bronze (Kamsyam), and Copper (Raagi). A variant, the Nandi Natakotsavam Awards for Theatre, is also given every year by the government for social, mythological and poetic dramas. Pulagam Chinnarayana
Pulagam Chinnarayana is an Indian Telugu cinema journalist, author, film critic, lyricist, dialogue writer and a public relations officer. He started his career as a film journalist for the magazines Sivaranjani, Number One, Chitram, Santhosham. Later, he worked for ''Sakshi'' for eight years where he reached a level of in-charge from being a regular reporter. Nandagopal
Nandagopal, was an Indian film journalist, editor and critic. He was married to Kalpana Devi who is also of Repalle and the couple have three children- Nadella Gopichand, Nadella Pratyagatma and Koduru Kavitha. As a prolific publisher, with more than forty years of experience. Nandagopal was involved in film journalism workshops, and was associated with L. V. Prasad, B.Nagi Reddy, and Aluri Chakrapani. Kanta Rao
Tadepalli Lakshmi Kantha Rao (16 November 1923 – 22 March 2009) was an Indian actor and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Regarded as one of the finest method actors, Rao starred in more than four hundred feature films in a variety of genres including mythological, social and folklore. He has also acted in a few Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam movies. He has produced about five films under the Hyma Films banner.
