Nancy Scranton
Nancy Scranton (born April 26, 1961) is an American professional golfer. Scranton was born in Centralia, Illinois. She attended Florida State University and the University of Kentucky. Her rookie season on the LPGA Tour was 1985. She has three tournament victories on the tour, including one major championship, the 1991 du Maurier Classic. Her best money list finish was 16th in 1991. She was a member of the United States team at the 2000 Solheim Cup. Centralia is a city in Clinton, Jefferson, Marion, and Washington counties in the U.S. state of Illinois with the largest portion in Marion County. The city is the largest in three of the counties; Clinton, Marion, and Washington, but is not a county seat of any of them. The population was 12,182 as of the 2020 census, down from 13,032 in 2010. Maria Hjorth
Maria Anna Hjorth (born 15 October 1973) is a Swedish professional golfer. Early years Hjorth was born in Falun. As the youngest of three daughters to Kjell and Monica Hjorth, she first gripped a golf club at three years of age. Six years old, she traveled with her family, to compete in the unofficial Swedish Championship for children, the Colgate Cup, for girls up to 10 years of age. After the round, her older sister helped her to count the score. Nordic skiing was a main interest during winter time. At ten years of age, Hjorth also began playing curling and later became the youngest ever individual winner of the Swedish Championship in curling.
