Nancy Martinez (born 1961) is a Canadian/Hispanic dance-pop singer and musician who is primarily known for her 1986 hits "For Tonight" and "Move Out". Early life Nancy Martinez grew up in the Rosemount neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec to a Spanish father and mother of Welsh and English descent. She studied piano as a child. Hi-NRG (pronounced "high energy") is a genre of uptempo disco or electronic dance music (EDM) that originated in the United States during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
