Nampally Assembly constituency is a constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. It is one among 15 constituencies in Capital city of Hyderabad. It is part of Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency. Jaffar Hussain Meraj of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen is representing the constituency for the second time. Extent of the constituency Nampally was carved out of Asifnagar Assembly constituency before the 2009 elections as per Delimitation Act of 2002. Jaffer Hussain
Jaffar Hussain Meraj (born 1960) is Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly from Nampally Assembly Constituency and he was Deputy Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation from 2009 to 2012. Personal life Born in Hyderabad, India to former MLA Ahmed Hussain who was a legislator from Seetarambagh in 1967, his sons, Minhaj Hussain and Maqsood Hussain, have both completed their MBA and take care of the family business. Asif Nagar is a major locality in the western part of Hyderabad, India. It is located north of the Musi River near Mehdipatnam. 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The United Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. The elections were held in the state in the first phase (2009-04-16) and the second phase (2009-04-23). The results were declared on 2009-05-16. 2014 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. 2018 Telangana Legislative Assembly Election
The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014. The incumbent Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Indian National Congress, BJP, Telangana Jana Samithi, and Telugu Desam Party were the main contestants in the election.
