Nammal
''Nammal'' () is a 2002 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Kamal and written by Kalavoor Ravikumar. The film features Jishnu, Sidharth Bharathan in the lead roles. It was the debut film of Sidharth, Renuka, and Bhavana. The music was composed by Mohan Sithara. The film was shot in Government Engineering College, Thrissur and Holy Trinity School, Kanjikode. ''Nammal'' was released on 20 December 2002 and was a commercial success at the box office. The film received three Kerala State Film Awards Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value, Special Mention (Bhavana), and Best Art Director. It was remade in Telugu as '' Dost'' (2004). Plot Snehalatha becomes the Principal of a college where Shyam and Shivan are the heroes. Shyam and Shivan are fun filled characters as well as naughty. Bhavana (actress)
Karthika Menon, better known by her stage name Bhavana, is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Malayalam and Kannada films, and has also appeared in some Tamil and Telugu films. Bhavana made her acting debut with the Malayalam film ''Nammal'' in 2002. Early life Bhavana was born as Karthika Menon in Thrissur, Kerala, as the daughter of Pushpa and assistant cinematographer G. Kamaluddin Mohammed Majeed, mononymously known as Kamal, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He works in Malayalam cinema. He was the former Chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. Kamal made his directorial debut with the 1986 film ''Mizhineerppoovukal''. In a career spanning over three decades, Kamal has directed over forty films.
