Nambirajan
Nambirajan is an Indian people, Indian film director who has worked on Tamil films. He made his directorial debut in the 1980s, before proceeding to make ''Nila (film), Nila'' (1994) and ''Chandralekha (1995 film), Chandralekha'' (1995). Career Initially under the name Ranjith Kumar, Nambirajan made several low-budget films in the 1980s. ''Udhayamagirathu'' (1981), ''Manjal Nila'' (1982), ''Kunguma Pottu'' (1982), ''Anbe Odi Vaa'' (1984) and ''Ungalil Oruvan'' (1985) were made in quick succession. He changed his name to and Nambirajan made ''Nila (film), Nila'' (1994) featuring Jayaram in the lead role, before working with Vijay (actor), Vijay in ''Chandralekha (1995 film), Chandralekha'' (1995). A further film with Ajith Kumar during the period titled ''Muthu Pechi'', failed to materialise. Chandralekha (1995 Film)
''Chandralekha'' is a 1995 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language romantic action film, directed by Nambirajan. Starring Vijay (actor), Vijay and Vanitha Vijayakumar in her debut, the film had music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film revolves around an orthodox Brahmin girl falls in love with a Muslim boy, Rahim, but their families don't accept it. Meanwhile, the lovers try to elope and are caught by militants in the forest. The film was released on 23 October 1995 on Diwali clashing with Rajinikanth film ''Muthu (film), Muthu'', and ''Chandralekha'' performed mediocre at the box office, even though the film songs were a hit. Nila (film)
''Nila'' () is a 1994 Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by Nambirajan. The film stars Jayaram and Vineetha, with an ensemble supporting cast including Yuvarani, Goundamani, Senthil, Ganthimathi, Vijayakumar, Manjula Vijayakumar and Prakash Raj. The film, produced by N. Anbazhagan, had musical score by Deva and was released on 24 November 1994. Plot Ayyanar (Jayaram) is a kind-hearted person and a kulfi street vendor. One day, out of pity Ayyanar gives refuge to a girl (Vineetha) suffering from amnesia and behaving like a child. Ayyanar and Aatha (Ganthimathi), who is like his own mother, take care of her. ''Manjal Nila'' (credited as ''Manghal Nila''; ) is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by R. Renjith Kumar. It stars Suresh and Kala Ranjani.
