''Namak Haraam'' is a daily soap that premiered at the Indian channel Real TV on 2 March 2009. Swati is an idealistic district collector, who is married to Karan, a business tycoon. Everything seems to be fine among them until their individual ideals start affecting their personal life. Swati is keen to start a housing project for the villagers on a plot of land that Karan's father, Indrajeet Sehgal (Shishir Sharma), is eyeing to build a cement factory. He encourages Karan to use the power Swati wields as a bureaucrat to make profit in business. Karan agrees, though unwillingly, and tries to convince her to give up on her plans. Soon, Swati discovers that she has been manipulated by the man she trusted the most. A conflict of ideas is set to engulf their five-year-old marriage. ''Namak Haraam'' () is a 1973 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The music is by R.D. Burman, the screenplay by Gulzar, and lyrics by Anand Bakshi. The film stars Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. It also stars Rekha, Asrani, Raza Murad, A. K. Hangal, Simi Garewal and Om Shivpuri. Rajesh Khanna received his third BFJA Awards for Best Actor (Hindi) in 1974 for this film and Amitabh Bachchan had won his second Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1974. This was the second Hrishikesh Mukherjee film that starred Khanna and Bachchan after '' Anand''. 2009 Indian Television Series Debuts
9 (nine) is the natural number following and preceding . Evolution of the Arabic digit In the beginning, various Indians wrote a digit 9 similar in shape to the modern closing question mark without the bottom dot. The Kshatrapa, Andhra and Gupta started curving the bottom vertical line coming up with a -look-alike. The Nagari continued the bottom stroke to make a circle and enclose the 3-look-alike, in much the same way that the sign @ encircles a lowercase ''a''. As time went on, the enclosing circle became bigger and its line continued beyond the circle downwards, as the 3-look-alike became smaller. Soon, all that was left of the 3-look-alike was a squiggle.
