Nakhchivan International Airport ( az, Naxçıvan Beynəlxalq Hava Limanı) is a civilian airport and Azeri military airbase located in Nakhchivan, the capital of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a landlocked exclave of Azerbaijan. The airport was built in the 1970s. Facilities The airport is at an elevation of above mean sea level. Heydar Aliyev International Airport ( az, Heydar Aliyev adına Beynəlxalq Hava Limanı) (IATA: GYD, ICAO: UBBB) is one of the seven international airports serving Azerbaijan. Formerly, it was called Bina International Airport after a suburb of Baku. On 10 March 2004, the airport was renamed after president Heydar Aliyev.
