"Naked" is a song by English singer, songwriter and media personality Louise Redknapp, Louise, released on 27 May 1996 as the third single from her Naked (Louise album), debut solo album of the same name (1996). It charted at number five in the United Kingdom and was certified platinum. "Naked" also was a top-20 hit in Iceland and Ireland. A music video was produced to promote the single, directed by Gregg Masuak. Critical reception Jon O'Brien from AllMusic noted that "modeling itself on Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation era, the breathless vocals, funky Contemporary R&B, R&B rhythms, and risqué video of "Naked" catapulted Louise into the Top Five for the first time." Can't Stop the Pop described it as a "slick Pop music, pop anthem; the delivery snaps and gets right to the point". Louise Elizabeth Redknapp (née Nurding, born 4 November 1974) is an English singer, songwriter and media personality. She was a member of Eternal, an R&B girl group which debuted in 1993 with their quadruple-platinum studio album '' Always & Forever''. In 1995, she departed from the group for a solo career, in which she released the albums ''Naked'' (1996), '' Woman in Me'' (1997) and ''Elbow Beach'' (2000). Aside from music, Louise has presented several television shows and was a judge on the UK version of ''So You Think You Can Dance''. She was married to the English former footballer Jamie Redknapp. In 2016, Louise reached the final in the fourteenth series of BBC One's '' Strictly Come Dancing''.
