"Naïve Song" is a song by Mirwais, released in 2001 as the second single from his second studio album ''Production'' (2000). Background, release, and promotion In the two years that Mirwais worked on his second album, "Naïve Song" was one of the last songs he has composed and included on ''Production''. Several remixes were released to promote the song including remixes from Dave Clarke, Les Rhythmes Digitales, and Olav Basoski. The song reached number two on the US Club dance chart on April 14, 2001. The song was also used as a theme song for ''Clara Sheller'', a French television series that aired from May 18, 2005 to December 3, 2008. The song was used for two seasons. Mirwais Ahmadzaï
Mirwais Ahmadzaï (born 23 October 1960), known mononymously as Mirwais, is a French electronic dance music record producer and songwriter. Born in Switzerland to an Afghan father and an Italian mother, Ahmadzaï was a member of the defunct 1980s group Taxi Girl. He met Madonna in the late 1990s, when he submitted a demo to her then record label, Maverick Records. Clara Sheller is a French television series created by Nicolas Mercier after the idea of Stéphanie Tchou-Cotta that was aired from 18 May 2005 to 3 December 2008 on France 2. Taxi Girl
Taxi Girl were a French new wave band, adopting the New Romantic aesthetics of the time, such as clashing red and black clothing, synthesizer-led songs, and taking influence from mythology and literature. The group existed between 1978 and 1986, producing 5 mini- albums, and one full-length album, ''Seppuku''. Their early success is attributed to two singles, "Mannequin" in 1979 and "Cherchez le garçon" in 1980. Their music was said to capture the energy of The Stooges, mixed with the retro-futuristic soundscapes of Kraftwerk. Their most successful album was ''Seppuku'', produced by Jean-Jacques Burnel of The Stranglers; Jet Black drummer of The Stranglers, provided percussion, stepping in after the death of Pierre Wolfsohn. Olav Basoski (born 1968, Haarlem, Netherlands) is a Dutch DJ, remixer, house music producer and trainer in Electronic dance music techniques. ''Production'' is the second studio album by French record producer and songwriter Mirwais, released on 20 April 2000 through Naïve in Europe. Background Mastering was done at The Exchange, London, by Simon Davey, except "Disco Science", mastered by Nilesh Patel. Release and Promotion Music video Several music videos were released for ''Production''. "Disco Science" was directed by French photographer/artist Stéphane Sednaoui in 1999 and released the same year.
