Naimoli Family Baseball Complex
The Naimoli Family Baseball Complex is a baseball venue in Teaneck, New Jersey. It is home to the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights baseball team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA Division I (NCAA), Division I Northeast Conference. The facility is named for the family of Vince Naimoli, a Fairleigh Dickinson alumnus. Built in 2011, the facility has a capacity of 500 spectators. History The field was built prior to the 2011 season. In 2007, its namesake, Vince Naimoli, donated $1 million for the facility's construction. Naimoli graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson in 1964 and was the first principal owner of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The complex hosted its first game on April 8, 2011, in which Fairleigh Dickinson lost to Long Island Blackbirds baseball, Long Island 3–1. Route 4 is a state highway in Bergen County and Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. Long Island Blackbirds Baseball
The LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds were the athletic teams representing Long Island University's campus in Brooklyn, New York in intercollegiate athletics, including men's and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and track; women's-only bowling, lacrosse, softball, tennis, and volleyball; and men's-only baseball. The Blackbirds competed in NCAA Division I and were members of the Northeast Conference. The Tampa Bay Rays are an American professional baseball team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rays compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) East division. Since its inception, the team's home venue has been Tropicana Field. Vince Naimoli
Vincent Joseph Naimoli (September 16, 1937 – August 25, 2019) was an American businessman, and the first owner of the Major League Baseball team the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Biography Naimoli's father was an Italian immigrant who worked for the New York City Subway system and became a self-taught stationary engineer. Naimoli was born in Paterson, New Jersey and attended Paterson Central High School. He attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1959 and earning a master's degree in mechanical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1962. Naimoli received a Master of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1964, and attended Harvard Business School's six-week advanced management program in 1974.
