Naim Records
Naim Records, also known as Naim Label, is a small independent record label in the United Kingdom, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Founded by Julian Vereker, its first CD was ''Electric Glide'' by Gary Boyle. Naim Records was shortlisted for the Best Small Label award at the inaugural AIM Independent Music Awards 2011. In June 2012 Mark Prisk, Business Minister for the UK Government, named Simon Drake, General Manager of Naim, one of 30 young rising stars of manufacturing in the Make It in Great Britain campaign. Sabina Sciubba
Sabina Margrit Sciubba or Sabina is a singer, composer, and actress. She is best known as the lead singer for the Grammy-nominated electronica band Brazilian Girls. She is also a visual artist. She has a solo career, and also worked as an actress, appearing in a recurring role on the FX series ''Baskets'', beginning in 2016. Sciubba has composed the scores for feature films and commercials. Early life Sabina was born in Rome to a German mother and an Italian father. AM is an American songwriter, musician, composer and producer born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, raised in New Orleans, and currently residing in the Los Angeles Echo Park neighborhood in California. AM or A.M. refers to his band and is also the moniker for this artist. Jeniferever is a band from Uppsala, Sweden formed in 1996. Their music could be described as ambient indie rock or post-rock; it is slow-paced, melodic, and frequently building to an orchestral-like climax. Their sound has been compared to bands such as The Appleseed Cast and Sigur Rós. Their name is derived from a 1989 Smashing Pumpkins song of the same name. They released a four track EP ''Iris'' on the Big Scary Monsters Recording Company label. Their debut full-length record ''Choose a Bright Morning'' was released on Drowned in Sound Recordings and was later re-released through Monotreme Records. Their second album ''Spring Tides'' was released on Monotreme Records in 2009. The band released its third album ''Silesia'' on 11 April 2011. Danny Thompson
Daniel Henry Edward Thompson (born 4 April 1939) is an English multi-instrumentalist best known as a double bassist. He has had a long musical career playing with a large variety of other musicians, particularly Richard Thompson and John Martyn. For four years, between 1964 and 1967, he was a member of Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, led a trio that included guitarist John McLaughlin, and was a founding member of the British folk-jazz band Pentangle. Jon Thorne (born 12 February 1967) is an English double bassist, producer and composer. Career Thorne is self-taught and started playing at the age of 23. He has studied and played jazz for a number of years following and considers Danny Thompson his bass mentor. Max Raptor are an English four-piece punk rock band from Burton upon Trent in the Midlands, England, formed in 2006. They have toured the UK and played two dates in 2009 with Canadian punk band Billy Talent and then toured 16 dates in 2010 with British punk band The Stranglers. Julian Charles Prendergast Vereker Order of the British Empire, MBE (7 May 1945 – 14 January 2000) was an English self-taught designer of audio equipment, and the founder of Naim Audio, Naim Audio Ltd. of Salisbury, Wiltshire. He was an influential figure in the manufacture and retail of British high fidelity audio equipment in the 1970s and 1980s. Biography Family and education Julian Vereker was born in Oxford, England. He was the great-great grandson of the 3rd Viscount Gort.
