Nagrota
Nagrota is a town located in the Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is located on National highway 44 between Jammu city and Udhampur. It is situated on the bank of River Tawi. Nagrota along with Kashmiri Pandit Migrant town of Jagti straddle the national highway. Nagrota is the first shrine stoppage for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. The Kol-Kandoli temple is a mandate for completing the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. Nagrota has an extension of Jammu Industries having Oil Depots and Godowns.It serves as headquarter of the XVI Corps (India) also known as the 'White Knight Corp'. Though Nagrota does not have a railway station, it does have a Railway Station Code assigned ( NGRT) in preparation for the completion of the planned Jammu-Srinagar railway extension. XVI Corps (India)
The XVI Corps is a corps of the Indian Army raised on 1 June 1972 with Lieutenant General J F R Jacob as its first General Officer Commanding (GOC). It has its headquarters at Nagrota Cantonment, (Jammu district), Jammu and Kashmir. In 2005, IX Corps was raised in southern part of the XVI Corps' area, taking over two of its divisions. Organisation The corps is reported to include 10th Infantry Division (RAPID) ''(Crossed Swords Division)'', headquartered at Akhnoor; 25 Infantry Division ''(Ace of Spades Division)'', headquartered at Rajouri and 39 Infantry Division ''(Dah Division)'', with its headquarters at Yol. Kathua is a city and municipal council located in Kathua district of Jammu Division of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, near its border with Punjab, India and Himachal Pradesh. Talab Tillo
Talab Tillo is a suburban area of Jammu City in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and is situated in Jammu Province. It derived its name from a saint named 'Tilloo' and from a "Talab" which was situated here. "Talab" is a Hindi word which means "Pond" in English. The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) is a public research university located in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Udhampur
Udhampur (ˌʊd̪ʱəmpur) is a city and a municipal council in Udhampur district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the headquarters of Udhampur District. Named after Raja Udham Singh, it serves as the district capital and the Northern Command headquarters of the Indian Army.
