Nagenahira Cricket Team
The Nagenahira Nagas was a franchise cricket team that took part in Sri Lanka Premier League, representing Eastern Province. Varun Beverages Private Limited purchased the team for $3.22 million in 2012. They was owned for seven years, after which a new agreement may be negotiated. They named Shahid Afridi as their icon player in late June. History Nagenahira was one of the franchises in the proposed inaugural Sri Lankan Premier League in 2011 and represents the Eastern Province. They signed Shahid Afridi as their captain but due to some issues, 2011's event was cancelled at the eleventh hour. In 2012, they were purchased at the lowest price of $3.22 million by Varun Beverages Lanka Private Limited. Varun Beverages Limited (VBL) is an Indian Multinational company that produces, bottles and distributes beverages. It is the second largest bottling company of PepsiCo's beverages in the world outside the United States. The company was incorporated in 1995 as a subsidiary of RJ Corp, and named after founder Ravi Jaipuria's son. Sachith Pathirana
Sachith Shanaka Pathirana (born 21 March 1989), is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, who played for the national team and domestically in first-class, List A and Twenty20 matches. Pathirana was a bowling all-rounder who bowled slow left-arm orthodox spin and left handed lower-middle order batsman. Presently he serves as the spin bowling coach of the Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team. Early life Pathirana grew up in Kandy and attended Trinity College where he captained the school's first XI. Youth and domestic career Pathirana played in Sri Lanka's 2006 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup team. Ben Laughlin (born 3 October 1982) is an Australian cricketer. He bowls right-arm fast-medium, mainly playing Twenty20 cricket rather than longer formats of the game. He currently plays for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL) (Not in BBL12 in the 2022/23 season.)
