ʿUqba ibn Nāfiʿ ibn ʿAbd al-Qays al-Fihrī al-Qurashī ( ar, عقبة بن نافع بن عبد القيس الفهري القرشي, ʿUqba ibn Nāfiʿ ibn ʿAbd al-Qays al-Fihrī), also simply known as Uqba ibn Nafi, was an Arab general serving the Rashidun Caliphate since the reign of Umar and later on the Umayyad Caliphate during the reigns of Muawiyah I and Yazid I, leading the Muslim conquest of the Maghreb, including present-day Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Morocco. Uqba was the nephew of Amr ibn al-As. He is often surnamed al-Fihri in reference to the Banu Fihri, a clan connected to the Quraysh. His descendants would be known as the ʿUqbids or Fihrids. Nafi Tuitavake (born 21 January 1989) is a New Zealand Rugby union player who plays for the Vodacom Blue Bulls in the Super rugby competition. He is the younger brother of former All Black winger Anthony Tuitavake. He was named in the Crusaders five-man wider training group for 2014. On 21 September 2016, Nafi sign professional contract with English club Northampton Saints in the Aviva Premiership from the 2016–17 season. Nafi bin Sarjis Abu Abdullah ad-Dailami ( ar, نافع بن سارجيس أبو عبد الله الديلمي), also known as Nafi` Mawla ibn `Umar ( ar, نافع مولى بن عمر), was a scholar of Fiqh jurisprudence and muhaddith from the Tabiun generation who resided in Medina. Biography Nafi was originally a resident of Daylam (now including the Gilan region in Iran) who was captured during Muslim conquest of Persia and became a slave before being manumitted by Abdullah ibn Umar. Nafi Ibn Al-Harith
Nāfiʿ ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Kalada al-Thaqafī ( ar, نَـافِـع ابْـن الْـحَـارِث ابْـن كَـلَـدة الـثَّـقَـفِي) (died 13 AH / 634 – 635 CE)) was an Arab physician of the Banu Thaqif. He was recommended by Muhammad, and treated Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas and Abu Bakr. When the latter was dying, he designated his illness as poisoning. Life and career Trained in Yemen, he is reported to have written a book named ''Dialog in Medicine''. He was also a student and teacher at the Academy of Gundishapur in Persia.
