Nadine Roos
Nadine Roos (born 9 May 1996) is a South African rugby union and sevens player. Background Roos was abandoned by her mother at a pre-school crèche in South Africa, her grandmother traveled 160 miles in order to look after her. She was a hurdler and earned herself a bursary at the University of Pretoria where she was introduced to rugby. Roos made the 2021 CrossFit Games. Rugby career 2016–18 Roos made her international sevens debut in the Dubai tournament of the 2016–17 World Rugby Women's Sevens Series. In 2018, Roos competed for South Africa in the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Queensland. She later featured in the Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco where they finished 14th overall. 2021–23 Roos was selected for the South African women's sevens team again and played in the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town. CrossFit Games
The CrossFit Games is an annual athletic competition owned and operated by CrossFit, LLC. Athletes compete in a series of events at the Games, which may be various standard CrossFit workouts consisting of metabolic conditioning exercises, weightlifting, and gymnastics movements, as well as a range of activities from other sports such as swimming and cycling. The events generally are not revealed before the Games, can include unexpected elements to challenge the athletes' readiness to compete, and they are designed to test the athletes' fitness using CrossFit's own criteria. The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
