Nadia Cavalera

	Nadia Cavalera Nadia Cavalera (born 20 September 1950 in Galatone, Lecce) is an Italian novelist, poet and literary critic. Cavalera attended the Liceo Classico "Palmieri" de Lecce and earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy in the Università di Lecce, with the thesis "Democrazia e socialismo nel giovane Marx". She started her political activity in PCI when she was 20 years old. She worked in Brindisi for 12 years and since 1988, she has lived and worked as a teacher in Modena. She founded Brindisi's first entirely literary magazine, ''Gheminga''. In 1990, she and the poet Edoardo Sanguineti founded and became editors of the journal ''Bollettario: quadrimestrale di scrittura e critica'', issued three times a year, which is a publication of literature and literary criticism of the cultural association "Le avanguardie". 	Galatone Galatone (Griko: translit. ) is a town and ''comune'' located in Salento, in the province of Lecce (Apulia, southern Italy), the former seat of the Marquess of Galatone. 	Edoardo Sanguineti Edoardo Sanguineti (9 December 1930 – 18 May 2010) was a Genoa, Genoese poet, writer and academic, universally considered one of the major Italian authors of the second half of the twentieth century. Biography During the 1960s he was a leader of the neo avant-garde ''Gruppo 63'' movement, founded in 1963 at Solunto. He was also an active translator of James Joyce, Joyce, Molière, Shakespeare, Bertolt Brecht, and select Greek and Latin authors. From 1979 until 1983, Sanguineti was a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament. He was elected as an independent on the list of the Italian Communist Party, PCI. He was an atheist.
