Nadia Battocletti
Nadia Battocletti (born 12 April 2000) is an Italian female Middle-distance running, middle- and Long-distance running, long-distance runner. She won the gold medal for the 5000 metres at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships, 2021 European Under-23 Championships. Battocletti earned four individual gold medals in the U20 and U23 age groups at the European Cross Country Championships. She is the List of Italian records in athletics, Italian record holder for the indoor 3000 metres and 5K run, 5 km road race. As a 17-year-old, Battocletti won the bronze medal in the 3000 m at the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships, 2017 European U20 Championships. At the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships, 2019 edition of this championships, she earned silver for the 5000 m. 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held from 2 to 5 March 2023 at the Ataköy Athletics Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, the first time the event has taken place in this country although the venue did stage the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 2012 World Indoor Championships. The four-day competition will be held during the centenary year of the Republic of Turkey, and will feature 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events over three morning and four afternoon sessions. More than 600 athletes from the 51 European Athletics Member Federations are expected to compete in Ataköy Arena. Italian Athletics Championships
The Italian Athletics Championships ( it, Campionati italiani assoluti di atletica leggera) are the national championships in athletics, organised every year by the Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera. The first edition, four races only, was held in 1906 at Arena Civica in Milan, just after the foundation of the Federazione Podistica Italiana and with the organization of ''La Gazzetta dello Sport''. Since then, 110 editions were held with the only exceptions of the years 1915-1918 and 1944. During 1945, only athletes of Northern Italy could participate but FIDAL considered this edition as an official one. To the running races, in 1913 the field events were added. Athletics At The 2020 Summer Olympics
Athletics at the 2020 Summer Olympics were held during the last ten days of the Games. They were due to be held from 31 July – 9 August 2020, at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the games were postponed to 2021, with the track and field events set for 30 July – 8 August. The sport of athletics at these Games was split into three distinct sets of events: track and field events, remaining in Tokyo, and road running events and racewalking events, moved to Sapporo. A total of 48 events were held, one more than in 2016, with the addition of a mixed relay event. 2022 European Cross Country Championships
The 2022 European Cross Country Championships was the 28th edition of the cross country running competition for European athletes. It was held on 11 December 2022 in La Mandria Park near Turin, Italy. Italy became the first country to have staged the European Cross Country Championships on four occasions after previous editions in Ferrara in 1998, San Giorgio su Legnano in 2006 and Chia in 2016. Initially Turin received the right to host the event in 2021. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic and cancellation of the 2020 championship, which was supposed to be staged by Dublin, the organizers of the Turin championship agreed to hold them in Italy in 2022, so that the 2021 event could be hosted by the Irish city. European Cross Country Championships
The European Cross Country Championships is an annual international cross country running competition. Organised by the European Athletic Association, it is the area championships for the region and is held in December each year. The championships was inaugurated in 1994 in Alnwick and the venue for the championships changes each year. Unlike the World Championships for the sport, the European Cross Country Championships consists of six races in age categories, with separate senior, under-23, and junior races for both men and women.
