Nadhiya Hassan
Nadhiya Hassan is a Maldivian film actress. Early life Hassan completed tenth standard education from Aminiya School. After graduation, she was offered to feature in several video songs being produced from notable production studios. Career Hassan made her film debut with Yoosuf Shafeeu directed horror film '' Edhathuru'' (2004) which appears Mohamed Shavin, Sheereen Abdul Wahid, Ali Ahmed, Lufshan Shakeeb, Fathmath Neelam, Hassan, Ibrahim Sobah and Yoosuf Solih as eight friends who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival. Aminiya School
Aminiya School is a primary, secondary school in Malé, the capital of the Maldives. It is the first girls' secondary school in the country and remained the only all-girls school until 14 June 2011 It was established in 1944 to accommodate Female students from Majeediyya School (then known as "Madhrasathul Saniyya") which became an all-boy institution. The school is divided into four houses, namely ''Aminarani'', ''Dhainkanba'', ''Raadhafathi'' and ''Rehendhi." Till 2011, the school remained as a secondary school for only girls. Effect Of The 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake On The Maldives
In the independent republic of Maldives, all islands except for 9 were hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. 82 people were killed and 24 reported missing and presumed dead after the archipelago was hit by a tsunami caused by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on 26 December 2004. Two-thirds of the capital city Malé was flooded during the first hours of the day. Outlying low-level atolls were badly affected, and some low-lying islands, including some of the major resorts, were submerged at the peak of the tsunami. The government declared a state of national disaster and a special task force was set up to provide aid and supplies. Rescue efforts were hampered by loss of communication capability with the over one thousand islands that compose the nation, as well as by the lack of disaster planning. Total damages are estimated to be nearly $460 million, which accounts for nearly 62% of the GDP. A blockbuster is a work of entertainment—typically used to describe a feature film produced by a major film studio, but also other media—that is highly popular and financially successful. Mohamed Manik (15 October 1969) is a Maldivian film actor and director. Fauziyya Hassan
Fauziyya Hassan (8 January 1942 – 31 August 2022) was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in ''Sidha'' in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act. After her release Hassan appeared in a number of television dramas and films, including a run of horror films in the early 2000s. Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards.
