Nación Lucha Libre is a ''lucha libre'' Mexican professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico. The promotion, founded in 2019, was owned and managed by Alberto El Patrón and Chavo Guerrero Jr. It closed down on January 8, 2020. However, As of February 9, 2021 it has been announced on their Instagram that the promotion will be returning for a Season 2 although an official date has not yet been given. On April 28, 2021 it was announced that they will be having a reunion show on July 31, 2021 in McAllen, Texas with the main event being Alberto El Patrón vs. Andrade. History In early 2019, former AAA/CMLL/WWE/ TNA ''luchador'' (wrestler) Alberto El Patrón posted images of a possible new promotion. Lucha Libre
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. The wearing of masks has developed special significance, and matches are sometimes contested in which the loser must permanently remove his mask, which is a wager with a high degree of weight attached. Tag team wrestling is especially prevalent in lucha libre, particularly matches with three-member teams, called ''trios''. Laredo Kid (born December 30, 1986) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler. He is currently signed to both Impact Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, but is currently inactive due to abdominal surgery. Laredo Kid's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where private lives are kept a secret from wrestling fans. Laredo Kid originally used the ring name The Exterminador but changed it to "Laredo Kid" after a year. Miguel Ángel Olivo Castro (born June 19, 1988), better known by the ring name Daga, is a Mexican professional wrestler.
