Ignacio "Nacho" Martín Solanas (born 10 July 1962) is a Spanish retired Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, central defender, and a Coach (sport), manager. Playing career Born in Logroño, La Rioja (Spain), La Rioja, Martín finished his formation with CD Berceo, and made his senior debut with CD Logroñés in 1982. The following year he joined Segunda División side FC Barcelona Atlètic, and made his professional debut on 3 September of that year by starting in a 3–1 home win against Deportivo de La Coruña. Martín scored his first goal on 20 January 1985, netting the first in a 2–1 home win against Real Madrid Castilla, Castilla CF. The following July he moved to fellow league team Real Murcia, but appeared rarely. In 1986 Martín returned to Logroñés, now in the second tier. Logroño
Logroño () is the capital of the province of La Rioja, situated in northern Spain. Traversed in its northern part by the Ebro River, Logroño has historically been a place of passage, such as the Camino de Santiago. Its borders were disputed between the Iberian kingdoms of Castille, Navarre and Aragon during the Middle Ages. Miguel Ángel Lotina
Miguel Ángel Lotina Oruechebarría (; born 18 June 1957) is a Spanish professional manager and former footballer who played as a striker. Playing career Born in Meñaka, Biscay, Lotina started playing football with local Gernika Club, representing CD Castellón from 1981 to 1983. In his only season in La Liga he scored three goals in 21 games for the Valencians, who ranked 18th and last. In summer 1983, Lotina signed with CD Logroñés. After netting 22 goals over two Segunda División seasons with the Riojan side – also representing them in Segunda División B – he contributed two in 14 matches in the 1986–87 campaign as the team promoted to the top flight for the first time ever, after finishing second to champions Valencia CF; he retired from the game in 1988 at the age of 31, without having appeared in the main division with his main club. 1986–87 Segunda División
The 1986–87 Segunda División season saw 18 teams participate in the second flight Spanish league. It was the longest season ever in Spanish football. The league was reduced to 18 teams and had two phases. In the first one all 18 teams played each other twice (home and away). At the end of the first phase, the first twelve teams qualified for promotion groups (Group A1 for teams that finished in an odd position and Group A2 for teams that finished in an even position) and last six qualified for relegation group (Group B). In the second phase, teams played only against teams of the same group twice (home and away) and carried their first phase record. Champions of promotion groups (Valencia CF and Celta de Vigo) and best second ( CD Logroñés) were promoted to Primera División.
