Naberezhnye Chelny ( rus, На́бережные Челны́, p=ˈnabʲɪrʲɪʐnɨjə tɕɪlˈnɨ; tt-Cyrl, Яр Чаллы, ''Yar Çallı'', IPA: jar ɕɑlːɤ̆ is the second largest city in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. A major industrial center, Naberezhnye Chelny stands on the Kama River east of Kazan near Nizhnekamsk Reservoir. Population: The city was briefly known as ''Brezhnev'' from 1982 until 1988. History Naberezhnye Chelny was granted town status on August 10, 1930, and was called Brezhnev (after Leonid Brezhnev) from 1982 to 1988. KAMAZ (russian: Футбольный клуб КАМАЗ Набережные Челны) is a Russian football club based in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia. The club plays in the second-tier Russian First League. Colours are (Home) all white. (Away) Light blue shirts, white shorts. History The club was founded on 11 November 1981 at the KAMAZ plant under the name ''Trud-PRZ''. The team played in local tournaments until 1988, when they entered Soviet Second League. KAMAZ stayed in this league until 1992, when following the collapse of the Soviet Union they were entitled to play in the Russian First League. They won the Centre Zone tournament and were promoted into the Top League. The best result achieved by KAMAZ in the Top League was a 6th position in 1994. SprutCAM is a high-level Computer-Aided Manufacturing ( CAM) software that provides off-line features for programming of various CNC machines used for cutting, wire electrical discharge (EDM), 2, 3, and multi axial (CNC Swiss-Type Lathe) machining. The program was developed by SprutCAM Tech Ltd based in Limassol, Cyprus. SprutCAM only supports Microsoft Windows 10/11 version. History SPRUT Technology was founded in 1997 by Alexander Kharadziev, who recruited a team of engineers to build a company for developing CAx software. Alkonost is a Russian epic folk metal band formed in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan, Russia in 1995. Popularity The band is best known amongst heavy metal fans in their native country of the Russian Federation. However, their music has been discussed and shared on the internet, particularly on Usenet, and they have found new audiences in the Nordic countries and United Kingdom. Signed to Metalism Records, their albums are available with English titles, although the songs themselves are predominantly sung in Russian. It has a very large apron and a number of hangars and buildings. History The construction of Begishevo airport started in 1970 on initiative of Nizhnekamskneftekhim.
