NWA Television Championship (SAW)
The NWA Television Championship is a title controlled by, and defended in NWA Southern All-Star Wrestling. Southern All-star Wrestling later known as Showtime All-star Wrestling created the SAW Television Championship in 2007 then later changed its name to the SAW International Heavyweight Championship in June 2008. On March 15, 2013, the title was changed once again to the NWA Television Championship after SAW joined the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) under the all new NWA SAW Branding. NWA Southern All-Star Wrestling
Showtime All-Star Wrestling and NWA Southern All-Star Wrestling is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Rockwood, Tennessee. History SAW began in April 2007, started then business partners Reno Riggins and TJ Weatherby at Weatherby's "SAW Mill," in Millersville, Tennessee. In 2009, Riggins left. He then began to run shows in Nashville, at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. SAW then ran shows at the Former Freddie Morton's Auction House (redubbed the new "SAW Mill") which became an Antique Shop in Columbia, Tennessee, and at the Old Armory Building in Pulaski, Tennessee. Until 2012, SAW toured as well. On November 11, 2012 SAW teamed with the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) to form the New NWA SAW, in addition, SAW returned to Millersville, Tennessee and changed their format, going under the all new NWA SAW Branding. Reno Riggins
Neal Hargrove, better known by his ring name, Reno Riggins, (born January 13, 1967) is an American professional wrestler. Riggins has competed in Southeastern independent promotions including the United States Wrestling Association (USWA) during the 1990s. Professional wrestling career Hargrove was the final wrestler to be trained by Tojo Yamamoto before Yamamato's death in 1992. Hargrove made his World Wrestling Federation (WWF) debut as Reno Riggins in March 1988, spending several years as an enhancement talent, competing against many of the top heels of the time. He also appeared in a dark match losing to Rip Rogers at the NWA's Halloween Havoc in October 1990. Leaving the WWF in 1992, he began competing for the USWA and eventually won the USWA Southern Heavyweight Championship from Brian Christopher in August 1992. Edward Walker (born 1982) is an American professional wrestler, currently wrestling under the ring name Vordell Walker. He is perhaps best known for his work in Ring of Honor, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Extreme (PWX). Old Hickory is a neighborhood of metropolitan Nashville located in the Hadley Bend section of eastern Davidson County, Tennessee. Etymology Old Hickory is named in honor of President Andrew Jackson, nicknamed "Old Hickory." History Old Hickory is probably best known for being a former company town as the site of a large DuPont plant.
