NOFV-Oberliga Nord
The NOFV-Oberliga Nord is the fifth tier of the German football league system in the northern states of the former East Germany and West Berlin. It covers the German states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and northern Saxony-Anhalt. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, and until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. Overview The NOFV-Oberliga Nord was formed in 1991 when, along with the political reunification of Germany, the former East German football league system was integrated into the unified German one. The abbreviation NOFV stands for ''Nordostdeutscher Fußballverband'', meaning ''North East German Football Association''. Regionalliga Nord
The Regionalliga Nord ( en, Regional League North) is the fourth tier of the German football league system in the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Hamburg. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Südwest and the Regionalliga West. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the third tier. From 1963 to 1974, a Regionalliga Nord existed as the second tier of the German football league system, but it is not related to the current Regionalliga. FSV Optik Rathenow
FSV Optik Rathenow is a German association football club who compete in the Oberliga. The club is situated in the city of Rathenow, near Berlin, and play their home games at the Vogelgesang. In 1994, the club earned three promotions in quick succession under coach, Ingo Kahlisch, and reached Germany's 3rd tier, enjoying a three-season spell at that level competing against the likes of FC Union Berlin and Dynamo Dresden. Following their return to fourth-tier play in 1997, the Rathenowers were regulars in the competition until 2005. The club has featured twice in the DFB Pokal main rounds, most recently against 2. Spandauer SV
Spandauer SV was a German football club from Berlin. History Early years The capital city was one of the earliest centres of German football and was home to 1. Spandauer Fußballklub Triton, formed on 24 May 1894, and Sportclub Germania Spandau, formed on 15 October 1895. These two sides merged late in 1920 to form Spandauer Sport-Vereinigung 94/95 e.V., the predecessor of today's club. The team was promoted to the Verbandsliga Berlin-Brandenburg in 1921 where they earned a string of third- and fourth-place finishes. Their best result was a distant second place behind Hertha BSC in 1928. German football was re-organized under the Third Reich in 1933 into sixteen top flight Gauligen. Berliner Fussball Club Dynamo e. V., commonly abbreviated to BFC Dynamo () or BFC (), alternatively sometimes called Dynamo Berlin, is a German football club based in the locality of Alt-Hohenschönhausen of the borough of Lichtenberg of Berlin. Füchse Berlin Reinickendorf are a German sports club based in Reinickendorf, a western district of Berlin. The football side is part of a larger sports association that has departments for basketball, bowling, boxing, gymnastics, team handball, ice hockey, swimming, tennis, table tennis, and volleyball. Eisenhüttenstädter FC Stahl
Eisenhüttenstädter FC Stahl was a German association football club based in Eisenhüttenstadt in Brandenburg. The club dissolved in 2016 and merged into FC Eisenhüttenstadt. FC Eisenhüttenstadt plays in the sixth tier Brandenburg-Liga as of the 2021–22 season. History The predecessor of Eisenhüttenstädter FC Stahl was founded as enterprise sports community BSG Stahl Fürstenberg Ost in Fürtstenberg in Bezirk Frankfurt in 1950. The football team was admitted to the new third tier Bezirksliga Frankfurt an der Oder in 1952. The community of Stalinstadt was built nearby for the workers of the local ironworks, and so the team was known as BSG Stahl Stalinstadt from 1953. BSG Stahl Brandenburg is a Football in Germany, German association football club based in Brandenburg an der Havel, Brandenburg. History The club was formed in 1950 as ''BSG Einheit Brandenburg'' and played its earliest seasons in the II division of East Germany, East German football. The Amateur-Oberliga Berlin was the second tier of the German football league system in the city of West Berlin in Germany from 1947 until the formation of the Bundesliga in 1963, operating under the name of Amateurliga Berlin. The DDR-Liga (English: GDR League or ''East German League'') was, prior to German reunification in 1990, the second level of football competition in the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik or German Democratic Republic, commonly East Germany), being roughly equivalent to the 2. Bundesliga in West Germany.
