Football Club Novi Travnik ( bs, Nogometni klub Novi Travnik) is a football club from Novi Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, currently playing in the Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - West. History The club was officially founded in September 1950, although the football section was established in 1949. The club was at first called NK Borac and later FK Bratstvo and played in regional leagues until it was dissolved in the early 1990s due to conditions during the Bosnian War. After the war FK Bratstvo was re-established, but folded again in 2002 due to financial difficulties. On 27 April 2013, the club was reformed under the name NK Novi Travnik and started playing in the SBK Canton League, winning the league in its first season, as well as winning the divisional cup. The Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( bs, Druga liga Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine / Друга лига Федерације Босне и Херцеговине) is a football league in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This level is organized in four different leagues - Sjever (North), Centar (Center), Jug (South) and Zapad (West) (until the season 2011–12 there was two West leagues). The 2018–19 First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the 24th season of the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the second tier league football in Bosnia and Herzegovina, since its original establishment and the 19th as a unified federation-wide league. It began on 11 August 2018 and got concluded on 2 June 2019. Novi Travnik ( sr-cyrl, Нови Травник) is a town and municipality located in Central Bosnia Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, the town had a population of 9,008 inhabitants, while the municipality had 23,832 inhabitants. Name The municipality was called Novi Travnik until 1980, when it was styled Pucarevo after Đuro Pucar. In 1992 the original name was restored. History Novi Travnik was founded in 1949 to provide residence for the employees of the newly founded MMK Bratstvo factory, and so it is one of the youngest settlements in the region.
