NFL On NBC
The ''NFL on NBC'' is the branding used for broadcasts of National Football League (NFL) games that are produced by NBC Sports, and televised on the NBC television network and the Peacock (streaming service), Peacock streaming service in the United States. NBC had sporadically carried NFL games as early as 1939 NFL season, 1939, including the championship and Pro Bowl through the 1950s and early 1960s. 2006 NFL Season
The 2006 NFL season was the 87th regular season of the National Football League. Regular season play was held from September 7 to December 31, 2006. The season began with the reigning Super Bowl XL champion Pittsburgh defeating the Miami in the NFL Kickoff Game. The NFL title was eventually won by Indianapolis, when they defeated Chicago in Super Bowl XLI at Dolphin Stadium at Miami Gardens, Florida on February 4, 2007. ''Thursday Night Football'' (often abbreviated as ''TNF'') is the branding used for broadcasts of National Football League (NFL) games that broadcast primarily on Thursday nights. Most of the games kick off at 8:15 Eastern Time (8:20 prior to 2022). In the past, games in the package also air occasionally on Saturdays in the later portion of the season, as well as select games from the NFL International Series (these games were branded since 2017 as ''NFL Network Special'').
