NEO Sports was an Indian television channel, owned and operated by Nimbus Communications. Launched on 8 November 2006, it covers virtually all prime events in almost all popular sports like Golf, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Motor Racing, Horse Racing and Sailing. The channel has Golf as a prime sport along with football. It used to telecast International and domestic cricket in India. Nimbus Communications Limited was an Indian media and entertainment company, and sports broadcaster, known for its Neo Prime and Neo Sports channels. It has integrated, end-to-end media services focusing on Sports broadcasting, marketing, and filmed entertainment. Headquartered in Mumbai, Nimbus was established in 1987 by Harish Thawani, and has a network of customers across the United States, Canada, UK, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the Middle East. In addition to India, its operations are also spread across Singapore, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. In 2006, the company won a four-year global media rights for cricket with BCCI, at $612.18 million (Rs 2,714 crore). Asia Cup
The Asian Cricket Council Asia Cup is a men's One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket tournament. It was established in 1983 when the Asian Cricket Council was founded as a measure to promote goodwill between Asian countries. It was originally scheduled to be held every two years. The Asia Cup is the only continental championship in cricket and the winning team becomes the champions of Asia. It alternates every 2-years between ODI and T20I formats. The first Asia Cup was held in 1984 in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates where the council's offices were based (until 1995). India boycotted the 1986 tournament due to strained cricketing relations with Sri Lanka. Pakistan boycotted the 1990–91 tournament due to strained political relations with India and the 1993 tournament was cancelled for the same reason. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. It is considered one of the best European leagues. Prize was a highly attractive trophy donated by the ambassador of Italy. Club Libertad reached the final defeating Club River Plate, Club Guaraní and Club Nacional.
