NEL Pipeline
The NEL (Nordeuropäische Erdgasleitung (English: Northern European natural gas pipeline), formerly known as Norddeutsche Erdgasleitung, is a long natural gas pipeline in Germany. Route The pipeline runs from Lubmin near Greifswald through Sülstorf and Achim to Rehden. It connects the Nord Stream 1 pipeline with the Rehden-Hamburg and MIDAL pipelines. The pipeline started operations on 5 November 2012. Between Sülstorf and Achim, it uses a pre-existing installation. Technical features The diameter of the pipeline is and it uses operating pressure. Its capacity is of natural gas per year. The pipeline is expected to cost around €1 billion. Gazela Pipeline
Gazela is a natural gas pipeline in the Czech Republic. It is operated by Net4Gas, a company owned by Allianz Capital Partners and OMERS Infrastructure. The project cost around €400 million. History Construction started on 14 October 2010 in Krušné Hory, north Bohemia. It was constructed by Russian Stroytransgaz. The pipeline was officially opened on 14 January 2013. Route The pipeline connects the north Bohemian town of Hora Svaté Kateřiny and Rozvadov/Waidhaus on the Czech–German border. These are natural gas border delivery stations by which Russian gas is transported from the Czech Republic to Germany. OPAL Pipeline
The OPAL (''Ostsee-Pipeline-Anbindungsleitung'') is a natural gas pipeline in Germany alongside the German eastern border. The OPAL pipeline is one of two projected pipelines connecting the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to the existing pipeline grid in Middle and Western Europe, the other one being the NEL pipeline. Route The long pipeline runs from Lubmin near Greifswald to Olbernhau near German-Czech border. It connects the Nord Stream pipeline with the JAGAL (distributes gas from the Yamal-Europe pipeline), and the STEGAL (distributes gas from the Central-European Russian gas transit system (Transgas) via Czechia and Slovakia) pipelines in Germany. Wingas GmbH is a gas distribution company located in Kassel, Germany. It is a subsidiary of Gazprom, which held its shares through W&G Beteilligungs-GmbH & Co. KG. History Wingas was established in 1993 by BASF subsidiary Wintershall and Gazprom. Since 25 October 2007, Wintershall owned 50% plus one share, while Gazprom's stock is 50% less one share. In December 2013, Wintershall and Gazprom agreed an assets swap which made Wingas a wholly owned subsidiary of Gazprom. BASF and Gazprom completed the swap of assets by September 30, 2015. MIDAL (''Mitte-Deutschland-Anbindungsleitung'') is a long German natural gas pipeline, which connects the North Sea with southern Germany. It runs from Bunde, where it is connected with Netherlands gas system, and Emdel receiving terminal, to Ludwigshafen. The pipeline has a capacity of 12.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. It was constructed in 1992–1993, and it is owned and operated by Wingas GmbH & Co. KG. The northern section of the pipeline which runs from Bunde and Rysum to Rehden is long and has a diameter of .
