NCAA Division I Women's Hockey Tournament All-time Individual Records
The tournament Most Outstanding Player is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the NCAA women's ice hockey tournament to the player to be judged the most outstanding. The award has been in effect since the adoption of a national championship tournament for the 2000–01 season. History Only one winner did not play for the National Champion, Kristy Zamora in 2002. Only two players have been named MOP more than once, Jessie Vetter in 2006 and 2009, and Noora Räty in 2012 and 2013. In 2011 the MOP was awarded to multiple players for the first time when it was awarded to Meghan Duggan and Hilary Knight. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Caroline Ouellette
Caroline Ouellette (born May 25, 1979) is a Canadian retired ice hockey player and current associate head coach of the Concordia Stingers women's ice hockey program. She was a member of the Canadian national women's ice hockey team and a member of Canadiennes de Montreal in the Canadian Women's Hockey League. Among her many accomplishments are four Olympic gold medals, 12 IIHF Women's World Championship medals (six gold, six silver), 12 Four Nations Cup medals (eight gold, four silver) and four Clarkson Cup championships. Ouellette is in the Top 10 in all-time NCAA scoring with 229 career points. She is a member of the Triple Gold Club (not officially recognized by the IIHF for women) as one of only three women to win the Clarkson Cup, an Olympic gold medal and an IIHF Women's World Championship gold medal. 2009 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament
The 2009 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament involved eight schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of women's NCAA Division I college ice hockey. It began on March 14, 2009, and ended with the championship game on March 22. The quarterfinals were played at the home sites of the seeded teams and the Frozen Four was played in Boston. Kim Martin
Kim Kristine Martin Hasson (born 28 February 1986) is a retired Swedish goaltender, currently working in the Linköping HC organization. With the Swedish national team she won two Olympic medals, bronze in 2002 and silver in 2006, and two IIHF World Women's Championships bronze medals, in 2005 and 2007. Martin Hasson played in the SDHL with AIK and Linköping HC, in the Russian Women's Hockey League with Tornado Dmitrov, in the NCAA Division I with the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs, in the J20 SuperElit with the Malmö Redhawks’ junior men's team, and in the ''J18 Allsvenskan'' with Hammarby IF's junior men's team. Sara Bauer
Sara Bauer (born May 11, 1984) played for the Wisconsin Badgers women's ice hockey program. In four years, she accumulated 218 points. Bauer won the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2006. During the 2008–09 NCAA season, the WCHA honored its Top 10 Players from the First Decade. Among the group of top 10 players, was former Wisconsin forward Sara Bauer. Playing career Hockey Canada She was invited to the selection camp of the Canadian National Women's Under 22 team in 2004–05. Other invitees at the camp included future Olympians Gillian Apps, Meghan Agosta, Tessa Bonhomme and Sarah Vaillancourt. Goaltender
In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. 2006 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament
The 2006 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament involved eight schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of women's NCAA Division I college ice hockey. It began on March 17, 2006, and ended with the championship game on March 26. The quarterfinals were conducted at the homes of the teams considered to be higher seeds, although no seed was given for either team in two of the games. The Frozen Four was conducted in Minneapolis. Natalie Darwitz
Natalie Rose Darwitz (born October 13, 1983) is an American ice hockey player. Natalie was the Captain of the US Women's National Team for several seasons beginning with the 2007–08 season. She won three World Championships between 2005 and 2009, and two Olympic silver medals and one bronze medal in Women's ice hockey for the US. She is currently the assistant coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey team. Career biography Darwitz began skating at the age of five, and attended Eagan High School. From there, she was a veteran of ten years on the US National Team. She competed in two Olympics, leading the 2002 Olympics in goal scoring and scoring the game-winning assist in the bronze-medal game in the 2006 Games.
