NCAA Men's Division I Outdoor Track And Field Championships
The NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship is an annual collegiate outdoor track and field competition for men organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Athlete's individual performances earn points for their institution and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I women's competition is also held. These two events are separate from the NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships and NCAA Division I Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships held during the winter. The first edition of the championship was held in 1921 and the competition expanded to two divisions in 1963, then three divisions in 1974. Teams and their athletes must abide by NCAA rules in order to compete – the Arkansas Razorbacks were stripped of their 2004 and 2005 titles for recruitment violations, while Florida State University lost its 2007 NCAA Division I title because one of its ...

Rink Babka
Richard Aldrich Babka (September 23, 1936 – January 15, 2022) was an American discus thrower. A former world record holder, Babka also won a silver medal in the discus event at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. He starred in football, basketball, and baseball in addition to track and field at Palo Alto High School before graduating in 1954. He subsequently attended nearby Menlo College and the University of Southern California (USC). Knee injuries eventually obliged him to withdraw from USC's football and basketball teams, but as a discus thrower he continued to climb toward the top of the world rankings. Babka continued to compete as a discus thrower until 1969, when he retired to devote himself to various business pursuits. He later resided in California. Olav Jenssen (born 11 May 1962) is a Norwegian discus thrower. He was born in Vinje. He finished eleventh at 1981 European Junior Championships and competed at the 1986 European Championships, the 1992 Summer Olympics, the 1995 World Championships, the 1997 World Championships and the 1998 European Championships without reaching the final. Sven Göran Svensson (8 March 1959 – 6 October 1995) was a Swedish discus thrower. He represented Sweden at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics. As a senior, he competed for Söderhamns IF, IF Göta and IF Elfsborg . He won national championships in 1982 and also took a total of four SM-silver. In 1985 he was suspended 18 months for doping. At the age of 30, Svensson was "clean" of anabolic steroids.
