The NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships are the annual collegiate track and field competitions for women athletes representing Division I institutions organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Athletes' performances in individual championships earn points for their institutions and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I men's competition is also held. Jeneba Sylvia Tarmoh (born September 27, 1989) is an American Athletics (sport), track and field sprinter who specializes in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She is of Sierra Leonean descent. Prep Tarmoh lives in San Jose, California, where she attended Mt. Pleasant High School (San Jose, California), Mt. Pleasant High School. Her parents, both nurses, immigrated to San Jose from Sierra Leone shortly before she was born. While at Mt. Pleasant, she won both the 100 meters and 200 meters at the CIF California State Meet both her 2006 junior and 2007 senior years.
