NCAA Women's Division I Outdoor Track And Field Championships
The NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships are the annual collegiate track and field competitions for women athletes representing Division I institutions organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Athletes' performances in individual championships earn points for their institutions and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I men's competition is also held. The USC Trojans are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Southern California (USC), located in Los Angeles, California. While the men's teams are nicknamed the ''Trojans'', the women's athletic teams are referred to as either the Trojans or ''Women of Troy'' (the university officially approves both terms). Flirtisha Harris (born February 21, 1972) is an American sprinter. She won first place in the 200 m and the 4 × 100 m relay race at the 1993 Summer Universiade. At the 1995 IAAF World Indoor Championships, she was a bronze medalist in the 4 × 400 m relay, along with her teammates Nelrae Pasha, Tanya Dooley, and Kim Graham. Debbie-Ann Parris-Thymes (born 24 March 1973 in Trelawny Parish) is a Jamaican athlete who mainly competes in the 400 metres hurdles event. She finished 4th in the 1996 Summer Olympics. Michelle Freeman (born 5 May 1969) is a former Jamaican track & field athlete who was an Olympic Games, Olympic bronze medalist. Freeman was born in Saint Catherine Parish, Jamaica. The Nebraska Cornhuskers (often abbreviated to Huskers) are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The Florida Gators track and field program represents the University of Florida in the sport of track and field. Howard received an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where she was a member of the Florida Gators track and field team from 1988 to 1991. She graduated from Florida with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1993, and was inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame as a "Gator Great" in 2007. The Texas Longhorns women's track and field program is coached by Edrick Floréal.
