NCAA Men's Division I Indoor Track And Field Championships
The NCAA Men's Division I Indoor Track and Field Championship is an annual collegiate indoor track and field competition for men organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Athlete's individual performances earn points for their institution and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I women's competition is also held. Ian Dobson (athlete)
Ian Dobson is an American long-distance coach and retired Olympic runner. High school career Dobson competed at Klamath Union High School in Oregon where he was 2nd in the state in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters as well as a two-time Oregon state cross country champion. Ian Dobson finished seventh in 1998 and third at 1999 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships in 14:34 behind Dathan Ritzenhein and Donald Sage. College career Dobson ran for the Stanford Cardinal (2000-2005) where he was a 10-time All-American, NCAA runner-up and the 2005 NCAA champion indoors in the 5,000 meters. Alistair Cragg
Alistair Ian Cragg (born 13 June 1980 in Johannesburg) is an international track and field athlete. Born and brought up in South Africa, he has since lived in England and United States where he attended the University of Arkansas. He races for Ireland and competes most often over 3000 metres and 5000 metres. He holds the Irish national records in both the 5000 metres and the 10,000 metres. He holds the European road running record in the 5 km in 13:26, set in Carlsbad, California. Bradley "Brad" Hauser (born March 28, 1977) is a retired American long-distance runner. He finished fourteenth at the 1996 World Junior Championships and 21st at the 1999 World Championships, both in the 10,000 metres; and also finished fifteenth in the short race at the 2001 World Cross Country Championships. He also competed in the 5000 metres at the 2000 Summer Olympics without reaching the final. Running for the Stanford Cardinal track and field team, Hauser won the 1998 and 1999 5000 meters at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. Mark Carroll (runner)
Mark Carroll (born 15 January 1972 in Knocknaheeny, Cork) is a former Irish runner that went to school in The North Monastery, who specialized in the 5000 metres. He was the 1991 European junior champion over 5,000m; 2000 European Indoor champion over 3,000m and won a bronze medal in the 1998 European Championships over 5,000m. Carroll missed the 1996 Olympics due to injury and missed qualifying for the 5,000m final at the 2000 Olympics by one place. He finished 6th in the 2002 New York Marathon, but decided not to look to compete over that distance in the 2004 Olympics due to the heat and humidity in Athens. He has also been coaching other Irish athletes such as Gareth Turnbull since about 2005 and in 2008 was appointed US Athlete Manager for Athletics Ireland. Jonathan Michael Brown (born 27 February 1971) is a former British long-distance runner who specialised in 10,000 metres, cross country running and the marathon. Athletics career Born in Bridgend, Wales, he was affiliated with the City of Sheffield Athletic Club in England during his career. He gained Canadian citizenship in 2005, after living in there since 1996; but continued to make himself available for Britain until switching sporting allegiance at the start of 2008. Earlier in his running career he competed for the Iowa State Cyclones Track and Field and Iowa State Cyclones Cross Country teams. He was a bronze medallist in the 5000 m at the 1992 European Athletics U23 Cup.
