''NBA Showtime'' is a basketball arcade game released by Midway in 1999, featuring teams and players from the National Basketball Association (NBA). The game is modeled after the NBA presentations on NBC and takes its name from NBC's NBA pregame show. It is the successor to Midway's previous basketball titles '' NBA Hangtime'' and '' NBA Jam'' and is the first in the series to have fully 3-D polygonal graphics, featuring real uniforms for all teams. ''Showtime'' was also featured in a dual game cabinet along with '' NFL Blitz 2000'' that Midway dubbed the "SportStation." Midway followed up the game with the console exclusive '' NBA Hoopz''. The ''NBA on NBC'' is the branding used for presentations of National Basketball Association (NBA) games produced by the NBC television network in the United States. NBC held broadcast rights from 1955 to 1962 and again from 1990 (when it obtained the rights from CBS) to 2002. "Make Em Say Uhh!" is the second single from Master P's 1997 studio album ''Ghetto D'', produced by KLC. The album was released in 1997, but the single was not released until January 1998 though Priority Records and Master P's No Limit Records. John Frank Tesh (born July 9, 1952) is an American pianist and composer of pop music, as well as a radio host and television presenter. He hosts the ''Intelligence for Your Life'' radio show. In addition, since 2014, he has hosted ''Intelligence for Your Life TV'' with his wife Connie Sellecca. Tesh has won six Emmys, has four gold albums, two Grammy nominations, and an Associated Press award for investigative journalism. Tesh has sold over eight million records. Roundball Rock
"Roundball Rock" is a musical score composed by John Tesh and used for '' The NBA on NBC'' from 1990 until 2002. NBC played the theme 12,000 times during their run. Tesh came up with the melody while at a hotel and called his answering machine at home to sing a preliminary version of the melody so he would not forget it. A more rock-oriented variant was introduced in 1997 to coincide with the debut of the WNBA. That theme was also used until 2002, and on NBC's WNBA telecasts only. Since 2018, it has been used as the theme song for '' CBB on FOX''. Neil Funk
Neil Funk (born December 29, 1946) is the former television play-by-play announcer for the National Basketball Association's Chicago Bulls. Education and career Funk grew up in Indianapolis and attended Syracuse University, graduating in 1969. His first broadcasting job was covering high school and college sports for a small radio station in Danville, Illinois. He quickly moved up the ranks to acquire a job with the Philadelphia 76ers' WIBG-radio broadcasting crew in 1976. After time broadcasting for the Kansas City Kings, Funk began doing television broadcasts for the Sixers in 1982. Partnering with Steve Mix, he won an Emmy Award in 1989. Funk joined the Chicago Bulls as a radio play-by-play announcer in 1991. ''NBA Hoopz'' is a basketball video game published by Midway Games. It is the sequel to ''NBA Hangtime'' and '' NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC''. ''Hoopz'' was the only 3-on-3, arcade-style basketball video game available during the 2000–01 NBA season. Overview Rather than 5-on-5 action like professional play, this game features 3-on-3 play. Using players from the NBA, each player chooses a guard, forward, and center from the team's NBA roster for the first half and can make substitutions for the second half.
