NAB League Girls
The NAB League Girls (formerly known as the TAC Cup Girls) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was introduced in 2019. The competition is sponsored by National Australia Bank (NAB), having previously been sponsored by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since its inception. The league is one of the leading competitions for female footballers to be recruited to AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs. An identical competition for male footballers, known as the NAB League Boys, is also contested on an annual basis. Western Jets
The Western Jets is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Victorian premier U19 competition, the NAB League, since its inception in 1992. The club have developmental squads in the U16, however much of the attention is towards its U18 team. The club is geographically set in Melbourne's West as part of a decision by AFL Victoria (formerly Football Victoria) to have clubs in all regions of the state. The club trains in Melbourne's inner west at Crofts Reserve in Altona North and plays NAB League matches at Burbank Oval in Williamstown. Their current coach is Robbie Chancellor, who replaced Ryan O’Keefe at the end of the 2020 season. Madeline Keryk
Madeline Keryk (born 9 March 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Port Adelaide in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She previously played for Carlton and Geelong . She was drafted by Carlton with the club's fifteenth selection and the one hundred and fifteenth overall in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. In 2017 AFL Women's Season and made her debut in round 1, the club and league's inaugural match at Ikon Park against . She was delisted by Carlton at the end of the 2018 season. Keryk was redrafted by Geelong with the 62nd overall pick in the 2018 AFL Women's draft. 2022 NAB League Girls Season
The 2022 NAB League Girls season was the sixth season of the NAB League Girls competition for under-19 female Australian rules footballers in Victoria. The season commenced on 22 January and concluded with the Grand Final on 8 April. The premiership was won by the Western Jets, who claimed their first title by defeating the Dandenong Stingrays in the grand final. Format The league consisted of 13 full-time teams (12 from Victoria and 1 from Tasmania) that competed in a nine-match, ten-round regular season. There were also three academy teams that partook in guest matches but were not eligible for finals (those teams were Brisbane Lions Academy, Gold Coast Suns Academy and Northern Territory). The 2021 NAB League Girls season was the fifth season of the NAB League Girls competition for under-19 female Australian rules footballers in Victoria. The season commenced on 6 February and concluded with the Grand Final on 16 May. The premiership was won by Oakleigh Chargers, who defeated Geelong Falcons in the Grand Final. Format The league consisted of 13 full-time teams (12 from Victoria and 1 from Tasmania) that competed in a nine-round regular season. There were also five academy teams that were to partake in some matches but were not eligible for finals (those teams were Sydney Swans Academy, GWS Giants Academy, Brisbane Lions Academy, Gold Coast Suns Academy and Northern Territory; though the Lions and Suns did not play any officially recognised matches). The 2019 NAB League Girls season was the third season of the NAB League Girls competition for under-18 female Australian rules footballers in Victoria. The season commenced on 3 March and concluded on 25 May. The premiership was won by the Northern Knights, who defeated the Calder Cannons in the Grand Final. A total of 13 teams competed this season, one more than the previous season owing to the inclusion of a team from Tasmania, however they played only two matches and so we were automatically last-place finishers. The Australian Football League draft is the annual draft of unsigned players, especially new nominations, by Australian rules football teams that participate in the main competition of that sport, the Australian Football League (AFL). The ''Ballarat Courier'' is a newspaper circulating in the Ballarat region of regional Victoria. It is published daily from Monday to Saturday. In 2021 the editor is Eugene Duffy. The newspaper is owned by Australian Community Media. History In 1867, Robert Clark and Edward J.Bateman established ''The Courier'' under the name of Bateman Clark & Co. The first office was located on the south side of Sturt Street, east of Albert Street. In 1871 the office moved to 24 Sturt Street and in 1889 the Clark and Bateman partnership dissolved, with Clark becoming the sole proprietor.
