N55 Road (Belgium)
The N55 road is a national secondary road in Ireland linking Athlone to Cavan town. Athlone - Ballymahon upgrade In October 2017, a public consultation began into the re-routing of the Athlone to Ballymahon section of the road. The route affects areas such as Annaghgortagh, and Kilkenny West Plans were still in development in summer 2018. Route (Southwest to Northeast) * It starts at a grade separated interchange (Junction 4) on the N6 Athlone by-pass in County Westmeath and runs northwest through Ballymahon, crossing the N4 at Edgeworthstown, County Longford, through Granard, County Longford and northwest to Ballinagh, County Cavan before terminating at a roundabout junction with the N3 in Cavan town. Tang () is a village and a ''half-parish'' in County Westmeath, on the N55 national secondary road between Athlone and Ballymahon, County Longford. Tang is in the parish of Drumraney. It is in County Westmeath but on the border with County Longford from which it is separated by the 'Dungorman River which flows into Lough Ree 3 km downstream via the River Inny. N4 Road (Ireland)
The N4 road is a national primary road in Ireland, running from Dublin to the northwest of Ireland and Sligo town. The M6 to Galway diverges from this route after Kinnegad, while the N5 to Westport diverges at Longford town. Most sections of the N4 that are motorway-standard are designated the M4 motorway. Road standard The N4 originates at an intersection with the M50 motorway at Junction 7. This is also Junction 1 of the N/M4. The Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is located at Junction 2. The road has three lanes and a bus lane in each direction between the M50 and the start of the M4 at Leixlip. The N4 was the only one of the main inter-urban national routes whose dual-carriageway section continued into the city centre; however, the section inside the M50 was re-classified as the R148 in 2012. The N3 road is a national primary road in the Republic of Ireland, running between Dublin, Cavan and Republic of Ireland-United Kingdom border, the border with County Fermanagh. The A509 road (Northern Ireland), A509 and A46 road (Northern Ireland), A46 roads in Northern Ireland form part of an overall route connecting to Enniskillen, and northwest to the border again where the N3 reappears to serve Ballyshannon in County Donegal. Rush hour congestion between Navan and Dublin city was very heavy (up to 22,000 vehicles per day on single carriageway portions of the N3 in 2002), and problems occurred at most built-up areas between these points. A tolled motorway bypass replacement, the M3 motorway, was opened to traffic on 4 June 2010. Cavan ( ; ) is the county town of County Cavan in Ireland. The town lies in Ulster, near the border with County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. The town is bypassed by the main N3 road that links Dublin (to the south) with Enniskillen, Ballyshannon and Donegal Town (to the north).
