N102 (Bangladesh)
The N102 is a main transportation artery in Bangladesh, between Comilla and Brahmanbaria. It connects Chittagong Division to Sylhet Division. The highway is known along various stretches as the Comilla-Sylhet Highway. Sarail Upazila
Sarail ( bn, সরাইল, Shorail) is an upazila of Brahmanbaria District located in the Chittagong Division and near the Dhaka Division, Bangladesh. History The leader of the Baro-Bhuiyan zamindars, Isa Khan, had his first and temporary capital situated in Sarail. During the Mughal era, Sarail was a mahallah (district) of the Sylhet Sarkar. During the dewani of Shahbaz Khan in 1650, the Hatirpul was constructed. It was a bridge built over the canal mainly for elephant pass. The Mughal dewans used to communicate by the elephant in this road and also took rest near this bridge. In 1662, the Arifil Mosque was constructed by Shah Arif. There are unknown tombs located near the mosque, supposedly belonging to the wives of Isa Khan. During the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, the Pakistani Army killed about 70 innocent people in the Bitghar area. Mainamati
Moinamoti (''Môynamoti'') is an isolated low, dimpled range of hills, dotted with more than 50 ancient Buddhist settlements dating between the 8th and 12th century CE. It was part of the ancient Tripura division of Bengal. It extends through the centre of the district of Comilla in Bangladesh. Moinamoti is located almost 8 miles from the city of Comilla. It is the home of one of the most important Buddhist archaeological sites in the region. Comilla Cantonment is located nearby and houses a beautiful colonial era cemetery. Mainamati is named for the Chandra queen of the same name, mother of Govindachandra. Comilla (; bn, কুমিল্লা, Kumillā, ), officially spelled Cumilla, is the fifth largest city of Bangladesh and second largest in Chittagong division. Brahmanbaria ( bn, ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া, Brāhmaṇabāṛiẏā) is a city of Bangladesh and the capital of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila as well as Brahmanbaria District. It is the second largest city after Cumilla in eastern Bangladesh and one of the oldest municipalities in Bangladesh, established in 1868. Brahmanbaria was declared a district headquarters in 1984. The N2 is a Bangladeshi national highway connecting the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka and the town of Tamabil, Sylhet, Tamabil in the Sylhet District. Brahmanpara ( bn, ব্রাহ্মণপাড়া) is an upazila of Comilla District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Geography It has a total area of 128.9 km2. Demographics According to the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Brahmanpara upazila had a population of 204,691 living in 35,068 households. It's growth rate over the decade 2001-2011 was 12.79%. Brahmanpara has a sex ratio of 1101 females per 1000 males and a literacy rate of 54.74%. 6,013 (2.94%) live in urban areas.
