''Näköradiomiehen ihmeelliset siekailut'' (English: ''The Marvellous Adventures of a TV Man'') is a 1969 Finnish comedy by Spede Pasanen. It features one of the most famous appearances by Vesa-Matti Loiri outside his Uuno Turhapuro persona also created by Pasanen. The film also features a famous cameo of the Finnish pop-star Danny. The film is often considered one of Spede's greatest, due to its human-story. It also features plenty of his zany comedy most of which takes place in Pasanen's character's fantasies (reflected off the sets at which he is working). Plot The plot concerns the character of Mikko Syvärivi (Pasanen) who works as a night-watchman and also becomes an assistant at a Finnish Television Company. Ere Kokkonen
Erkki Olavi "Ere" Kokkonen (7 July 1938 – 16 October 2008), born in Savonlinna, was a Finnish film director and screenwriter. He worked closely with Spede Pasanen all the way from the 1960s until Spede's death, as a director, writer and also an actor. Kokkonen's feature film debut was ''Millipilleri'' (1966), co-directed with Spede Pasanen and Jukka Virtanen. In later decades, when Turhapuro films were made less frequently, Kokkonen scripted and directed the ''Vääpeli Körmy'' series of films His career as a director also includes filming of Arto Paasilinna's books, including ''The Ten Graters'' and ''A Charming Mass Suicide''. Kokkonen worked for both YLE and MTV3, where he served as entertainment director from 1974 to 1984. Kokkonen was the founder of the Comedy Theater Arena in 1995. Pertti Olavi "Spede" Pasanen (10 April 1930 – 7 September 2001) was a Finnish film director and producer, comedian, and inventor. During his career he directed, wrote, produced or acted in about 50 film, movies and participated in numerous TV productions, including the comedy ''Spede Show'' and the game-show ''Speden Spelit''. Much of his more commercial work was in collaboration with Vesa-Matti Loiri (whose most popular character created by Pasanen was Uuno Turhapuro; first in TV sketches and then in a long-lasting series of motion pictures) and Simo Salminen. Jukka Virtanen (director)
Jukka Jalmari Virtanen (25 July 1933 – 1 September 2019) was a Finnish entertainer and author. He worked as both a film and television director, actor and host. He was also an accomplished songwriter. Starting originally as a newspaper columnist, Virtanen began his television career in the 1950s and his film career in the 1960s. He won the Rose d'Or in 1965 for the entertainment program Lumilinna (The Cold Old Days). He starred in and directed many films written by Spede Pasanen, including ''Millipilleri'', '' Pähkähullu Suomi'' and ''Noin 7 Veljestä'', as well as playing bit parts in the Uuno Turhapuro franchise. Vesa-Matti Loiri
Vesa-Matti "Vesku" Loiri (4 January 1945 – 10 August 2022) was a Finnish actor, musician and comedian, best known for his role as Uuno Turhapuro, whom he portrayed in a total of 20 movies between the years 1973 and 2004. According to Yle News, ″Loiri was one of Finland's most beloved cultural figures over six decades, playing comic and tragic roles on screen and stage, alongside a musical career″. Simo Salminen
Simo Veli Atte Salminen (8 November 1932 – 2 September 2015) was a Finnish comic-actor best known for his many performances in movies and television shows by Spede Pasanen, usually playing his sidekick in some fashion. Salminen alongside Vesa-Matti Loiri and Pasanen himself were the three important players in almost all of Pasanen's productions. He frequently played a supporting or at the very least a relevant secondary character in many of Pasanen's films, usually the bungling assistant to the main character (often portrayed by Pasanen). His characters were frequently also called "Simo" (such as in '' Pähkähullu Suomi'', ''Koeputkiaikuinen ja Simon enkelit''). Leo Jokela
Leo Paavali Jokela (24 January 1927 – 11 May 1975) was a Finnish actor. He is best remembered for his role as a detective Kokki in Matti Kassila's '' Komisario Palmu'' films and as a parrot G. Pula-aho in Spede Pasanen's radio programs. Career beginnings Jokela worked in several Finnish theatres before making his impact on films. His first major film role came in a 1954 crime comedy ''Kovanaama'', directed by Aarne Tarkas. During the next ten years, Jokela appeared in almost all Tarkas films, in bigger or smaller parts. Uuno Turhapuro is a Finnish comedy character created by Spede Pasanen and played by Vesa-Matti Loiri. Originally appeared in ''Spede Show'' during 1971–1973, the character gained popularity through the Uuno Turhapuro films. Dramatis personae Uuno Daavid Goljat Turhapuro is a ragged man, characterised by his tattered string vest, sparse row of teeth and untidy face, perhaps depicting a Finnish stereotype of a loser. Ilkka Johannes Lipsanen (born 24 September 1942), commonly known by his stage name Danny, is a Finnish singer and guitarist. Still active, Danny's singing career is one of the longest in Finland, spanning over more than 50 years. He has recorded many evergreen hit songs. He achieved some notoriety outside Finland in 2006 when the music video for his 1978 duet with the late Armi Aavikko, "Tahdon olla sulle hellä", sung in English as "I Wanna Love You Tender", became an internet meme.
