Mexicana Universal Guanajuato is a pageant in Guanajuato, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. The State Organization has produced one Nuestra Belleza México titleholder in 2007 with Elisa Nájera and two Nuestra Belleza Mundo México in 1998 with Vilma Zamora and 2011 with Mariana Berumen. Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Mexicana Universal 2018
Mexicana Universal 2018 is the 1st edition of the Mexicana Universal beauty pageant, formerly called Nuestra Belleza Mexico until 2017. This edition will feature several changes. Thirty-two participants, one per state, compete for the Title. The competition is scheduled for June 10, 2018. Nuestra Belleza México 2010
The 17th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on September 25, 2010. The State of Jalisco, won for the third consecutive year with Karin Ontiveros, who later competed in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Ontiveros was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder and Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete. She was the fourth Jalisciense to win this Title. Thirty-one contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Cynthia de la Vega from Nuevo León, and she would compete in Miss World 2011 in United Kingdom. Miss World 2012
Miss World 2012, the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 August 2012 at Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. 116 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela crowned her successor Yu Wenxia of China at the end of the event. This is the second time China has won the title of Miss World. Mexico's Next Top Model (cycle 5)
Season five of ''Mexico's Next Top Model'', the Mexican adaptation of Tyra Banks' '' America's Next Top Model'', aired on Sony Entertainment Television from September to December 2014. The show was once again hosted by Mexican model Jaydy Michel. The panel of the previous season remained largely unchanged, save for the addition of creative director Óscar Madrazo as one of the main judges, with judge Antonio González de Cosío serving as the show's creative director in his place. Celaya
Celaya (; ) is a city and its surrounding municipalities of Mexico, municipality in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, located in the southeast quadrant of the state. The 19th annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant was held at the Poliforum del Centro de Convenciones of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico on September 1, 2012. Thirty-five contestants of Mexico competed for the national title, which was won by Cynthia Duque from Nuevo León who later competed in Miss Universe 2013 in Russia. Moroleón
Moroleón is a city located in the same name municipality of the state of Guanajuato, adjacent to the border with the state of Michoacán, in Mexico. In 1604, Dona Juana María de Medina y Calderón was granted land in the jurisdiction of Yuririapúndaro in southern Guanajuato by 9th Viceroy of New Spain Don Gaspar de Zúñiga y Acevedo (1560-1606). Eventually, the heir to jurisdiction of Yuririapúndaro Don Jose Guzman Lopez begin settling the lands in 1775 along with several other prominent families of the area.
